Clemson looks to rebound at Boston College

Feb 10, 2009 - 3:06 PM No. 11 Clemson (19-3) at Boston College (18-7), 9:00 p.m. EST

CHESTNUT HILL, Massachusetts (Ticker) -- Following its most disappointing loss of the season, No. 11 Clemson looks to bounce back when it visits Boston College on Tuesday.

After routing Duke by 27 points, the Tigers (19-3, 5-3 ACC) blew a 19-point second-half lead and fell at home to Florida State, 65-61, on Saturday.

Trevor Booker and Demontez Stitt each scored 11 points in the loss for Clemson, which shot 6-of-24 from the arc. The setback snapped a three-game winning streak.

Boston College (18-7, 6-4) had won five straight games before losing at then-No. 6 Wake Forest, 93-76, on Sunday. BC was outscored, 47-29, in the second half.

Joe Trapani scored 19 points and Tyrese Rice added 18 in the loss. Rice is averaging 18 points and 5.5 assists per game to lead the Eagles.

Clemson won both meetings last season, including an 82-48 triumph in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.
