WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Three weeks removed from being ranked No. 1 in the nation, Wake Forest is on the verge of falling into the bottom-half of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The eighth-ranked Demon Deacons hope to get back on track when they host No. 25 Florida State on Saturday.

Since opening the season with 16 straight wins, Wake Forest (18-4, 5-4 ACC) has lost four of its last six, including an 82-76 setback at North Carolina State on Wednesday.

James Johnson scored 18 points and Jeff Teague had 11 in the loss, which dropped the Demon Deacons into sixth place out of 12 teams in the ACC. Teague is averaging a team-high 20.4 points per game.

Ranked for the first week this season, Florida State (19-5, 6-3) has won three straight, including a 68-57 victory over Virginia on Tuesday.

Toney Douglas had 19 points and seven assists to lead the Seminoles, who can strengthen their NCAA Tournament resume with another win. Florida State has not been to the NCAAs since 1998.
