Kansas looks to bounce back at Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kansas (Ticker) -- After losing the "Border War," Kansas is hoping to bounce back against an intra-state rival.

Kansas looks to rebound from its first Big 12 Conference loss of the season when it visits streaking Kansas State on Saturday.

The 16th-ranked Jayhawks (19-5, 8-1 Big 12) led by 14 at the break but could not hold off Missouri on Monday, falling 62-60 on Zaire Taylor's jumper with 1.3 seconds to play.

Freshman Tyshawn Taylor scored 11 points to lead Kansas, which committed 27 turnovers. Sherron Collins leads the team in scoring at 17.6 points per game.

Kansas State (17-7, 6-4) comes in on a six-game winning streak, which includes Wednesday's 85-73 triumph over Texas Tech.

Darren Kent led four players in double figures with 18 points for the Wildcats, who were up by 24 points at the half. Denis Clemente leads Kansas State in scoring at 14.3 points per game.
