Kansas looks to continue home dominance

Feb 21, 2009 - 2:23 PM Nebraska (16-8) at No. 18 Kansas (21-5), 4:00 p.m. EST

LAWRENCE, Kansas (Ticker) -- Kansas will try and extend the nation's longest home winning streak to 39 games when it hosts Nebraska on Saturday.

The 18th-ranked Jayhawks (21-5, 10-1 Big 12) have won consecutive games after suffering their first conference loss.

Sherron Collins scored 22 points and Cole Aldrich had 22 and 11 rebounds in a 72-55 triumph over Iowa State on Wednesday. Collins is averaging a team-high 17.8 points per contest.

Kansas is only one game back of Oklahoma (11-0) for the Big 12 Conference lead and can't be blamed if they're looking past Nebraska. The Jayhawks have beaten the Cornhuskers 12 straight times and have a pivotal tilt against the Sooners looming Monday.

Nebraska (16-8, 6-5) has won four of its past five, however, including a 46-41 victory over Colorado on Wednesday.

Ade Dagunduro is averaging 12 points per contest to lead the Cornhuskers, who are allowing a conference-low 58.2 points per game.

Kansas recorded a 68-62 victory when the teams met on January 28.
