Villanova aims for fourth straight win vs. Georgetown

VILLANOVA, Pennsylvania (Ticker) -- Villanova will be looking to continue its climb up the rankings when it takes on Georgetown on Saturday.

The Wildcats (23-5, 11-4) have been one of the surprises of the Big East this season, surging into fifth place in the loaded conference while winning nine of their last 10.

Led by senior forward Dante Cunningham, who is averaging 16.4 points and 7.2 rebounds, and junior guard Scottie Reynolds (15.4 points), Villanova boasts one of the most potent scoring combinations in the Big East.

The two combined for 36 points on Wednesday as the Wildcats edged DePaul, 74-72.

Georgetown has watched its NCAA Tournament dreams vanish while losing nine of its last 11.

The Hoyas shot 39 percent and managed just 27 points in the second half on Monday in a 76-58 loss at home to Georgetown. Leading scorer DaJuan Summers, who averages 13.6 points per games, managed just four points on 1-of-8 shooting against Louisville.
