Memphis hopes to continue dominance over Tulane

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Third-ranked Memphis hopes to extend its dominance of Tulane when the two meet in the first round of the Conference USA tournament at FedEx Forum on Thursday.

The Tigers (28-3, 16-0 Conference USA) will open the conference tournament against the Green Wave (14-6, 7-9) for the third time in four years and are looking for their 17th consecutive victory over the rival.

Memphis, which has competed in each of the past four championship games, begins in quest for its fourth straight conference title.

The Tigers have not lost since December 20 - a stretch of 22 games. In their most recent triumph, they posted a 74-47 win over Tulane on Saturday.

Tulane, meanwhile, is 2-24 overall at home against Memphis, including 13 straight setbacks. The Green Wave has also never won at the FedEx Forum and their last win over Memphis was a 64-63 victory in 2000.
