Nevada goes for fourth straight win over UNLV

RENO, Nevada (Ticker) -- Nevada attempts to earn its fourth consecutive victory over Nevada-Las Vegas on Saturday.

Marcelus Kemp scored 20 points and Ramon Sessions followed with 19 and six assists as the 19th-ranked Wolf Pack posted a 77-71 triumph over California last Sunday. Nick Fazekas had 12 points and 16 rebounds despite bruising his ribs.

Nevada jumped out to a 40-25 lead at the break.

On their third stop of this four-game road trip, the Runnin' Rebels edged Hawaii, 61-58, on Tuesday. Wendell White, who scored 20 points, nailed the decisive jumper with just under a minute remaining.

Jo'Van 'Wink' Adams had 15 points and Gaston Essengue contributed 12 for UNLV, which forced 20 turnovers and survived a poor 36 percent (21-of-58) overall shooting mark.
