No. 19 Pittsburgh rolls past Youngstown St., 89-37

Dec 3, 2009 - 2:09 AM YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio(AP) -- Pepper Wilson scored 13 points to lead six Pittsburgh players in double figures and the 19th-ranked Panthers cruised to an 89-37 win over Youngstown State on Wednesday night.

Katie Popovec had 11 points and 12 rebounds for Pittsburgh (6-0), which never trailed and outrebounded the smaller Penguins 56-26. Jania Sims scored 11 and Sophronia Sallard 10 for the Panthers. Selena Nwude and Shayla Scott also scored 10 apiece, all in the first half.

Brandi Brooks had 10 points and seven rebounds to lead Youngstown State (0-6), which trailed 47-19 at halftime.

The 6-foot-6 Wilson scored all of her points in 10 minutes in the second half, going 6 for 6 from the field.
