Arizona overtakes Oregon State 62-53
Jan 15, 2010 - 4:30 AM TUCSON, Ariz.(AP) -- Soana Lucet scored 18 points, including the go-ahead free throw, to lead Arizona to a 62-53 win over Oregon State on Thursday night.Lucet, who sank a pair of free throws with about three minutes left to tie the game and then take the lead, also grabbed six rebounds for the Wildcats (8-7, 2-3 Pac-10).
Davellyn Whyte finished with 14 points for the Wildcats, while Reiko Thomas added 12.
The Beavers (9-5, 1-3) led by as many as seven points early in the second half, but missed all six of their free throw tries in the period and went just 4-for-6 from the free-throw line.
Haiden Palmer led the Beavers in scoring with 15 points, while Talisa Rhea added 13 points and El Sara Greer pulled down 14 rebounds.
