Novosel leads No. 8 Notre Dame over No. 19 WVU
Feb 23, 2011 - 3:38 AM Morgantown, WV (Sports Network) - Natalie Novosel finished with a game-high 22 points and seven rebounds as eighth-ranked Notre Dame topped No. 19 West Virginia, 72-60, at the WVU Coliseum.Devereaux Peters added 16 points for the Fighting Irish (23-5, 12-2 Big East), who responded from their 78-57 loss to then-No. 2 Connecticut on Saturday. Becca Bruszewski and Skylar Diggins both finished with 10 points for the victors.
Sarah Miles led West Virginia (21-7, 7-7) with 16 points. Madina Ali added 12 points while Liz Repella grabbed a team-high six rebounds to go along with eight points in the loss.
The Mountaineers have now dropped four of five and six of their last eight.
