McMorris leads No. 24 Marquette over No. 7 DePaul
Feb 27, 2011 - 4:03 AM Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Tatiyiana McMorris finished with 16 points and five assists as the 24th-ranked Marquette Golden Eagles topped No. 7 DePaul, 60-53, at the Al McGuire Center.Paige Fiedorowicz added 14 points and five rebounds while Jasmine Collins added 13 points, including 7-of-11 from the line, for Marquette (22-6, 10-5 Big East), which has won back-to-back games since falling to Rutgers on February 19.
Keisha Hampton led the Blue Demons (25-5, 12-3) with a game-high 17 points. Felicia Chester added nine points with 10 rebounds and Katherine Harry scored eight for DePaul, which had a four-game winning streak snapped.
Marquette took a 34-25 lead into the locker room, and held on down the stretch shooting 46.5 percent from the field in the contest.
