Feb 14, 2012 - 3:05 AM Knoxville, TN (Sports Network) - Meighan Simmonds poured in a game-high 25 points as No. 13 Tennessee routed No. 7 Kentucky, 91-54, on Monday.Shekinna Stricklen posted 18 points and six rebounds for the Lady Vols (18-7, 9-3 SEC), who shot a sizzling 59 percent from the field for the victory.
Bria Goss led the way with 15 points for the Wildcats (21-4, 10-2), who shot only 33.3 percent in defeat. A'Dia Mathies contributed 12 points and four boards in a losing cause.
Tennessee used a 14-0 run late in the first half to establish control. The hosts were ahead 46-28 at the break and never looked back.
