Johnson helps Michigan State past Indiana in OT
Jan 5, 2007 - 2:56 AM BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Ticker) -- Mia Johnson scored 17 points and Victoria Lucas-Perry came through with a clutch shot in overtime, leading No. 18 Michigan State to a 64-56 Big Ten Conference triumph over Indiana.Rene Haynes added 15 points for the Spartans (12-2, 3-0 Big Ten), who held the Hoosiers to just one basket in the extra session.
Johnson made just 3-of-6 shots but went an impressive 9-of-10 at the free-throw line.
Lucas-Perry, who scored 14 points, drilled a 3-pointer with 2:57 remaining in overtime to snap a 56-56 tie.
Nikki Smith scored 16 points for Indiana (12-4, 1-2), which made just 1-of-7 shots from the field in overtime.
