Jackson leads Texas past Purdue
Jan 8, 2007 - 12:14 AM AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Tiffany Jackson scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Texas posted a 64-61 victory over No. 11 Purdue.Reserve Carla Cortijo had a career-high 14 points and eight boards and Erika Arriaran added 11 points for the Lady Longhorns, who won their first game in four attempts vs. a ranked opponent this season.
Jackson shot 7-of-16 from the field for Texas (11-4), which shot just 35 percent (23-of-65) but caused 20 Purdue turnovers.
Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton scored 16 points and hauled in 12 rebounds and Katie Gearlds added 12 points for the Boilermakers (14-3), who lost for the first time in eight games.
