Savant, Riddle spark Missouri upset of Nebraska
Feb 18, 2007 - 3:53 AM LINCOLN, Nebraska (Ticker) -- Carolyn Savant had 17 points and 13 rebounds as Missouri upset No. 20 Nebraska, 65-53, in a Big 12 Conference matchup.EeTisha Riddle scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half for the Tigers (16-10, 4-9 Big 12), who snapped a streak of 16 consecutive road losses to ranked teams.
Savant and Riddle each finished 5-of-6 from the free-throw line as Missouri hit 14 of its final 16 shots at the stripe.
Tiffany Brooks was also in double figures with 11 points for the Tigers, who dominated the backboards, 44-32.
Kelsey Griffin had 16 points and Kiera Hardy 12 for Nebraska (21-6, 9-4), which shot just 36 percent (18-of-50).
