Connecticut stays perfect with rout of Notre Dame
Jan 28, 2008 - 3:00 AM SOUTH BEND, Indiana (Ticker) -- Tina Charles scored 22 points and top-ranked Connecticut remained unbeaten with an 81-64 victory over Notre Dame in a Big East Conference matchup on Sunday.Charles was 9-of-16 from the field and added eight rebounds for the Huskies (19-0, 6-0 Big East), who led 43-27 at the half.
Maya Moore was 4-of-4 from the arc and had 15 points, Renee Montgomery had 12 and Brittany Hunter added 11 for Connecticut.
Ashley Barlow scored 15 points for Notre Dame (15-5, 3-3), which struggled from the field, shooting 34 percent (23-of-68).
