Paris powers Oklahoma past Texas Tech

Feb 28, 2008 - 5:20 AM LUBBOCK, Texas (Ticker) -- Courtney Paris had 19 points and 22 rebounds and Danielle Robinson also scored 19 as No. 10 Oklahoma rallied past Texas Tech, 65-55, in Big 12 Conference action on Wednesday.

Ashley Paris chipped in 11 points for the Sooners, who trailed, 36-29, at the break.

Oklahoma (21-5, 11-3 Big 12) was still down midway through the second half but used a 12-3 run to take a 58-51 bulge with 4:32 remaining. Texas Tech never got closer than six the rest of the way.

Courtney Paris finished 8-of-19 from the field and pulled down 11 offensive boards en route to her 87th consecutive double-double.

Jordan Murphree scored 18 points to lead the Red Raiders (16-12, 4-10), who made just 5-of-22 (23 percent) field goals in the second half. Texas Tech also made only 3-of-15 from the arc for the contest and 16-of-25 from the free-throw line.
