Hollins, Missouri upend Oklahoma in Big 12 tournament

Mar 11, 2008 - 11:08 PM KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- The Paris sisters could not save fifth-seeded Oklahoma from an early exit in the Big 12 tournament.

Alyssa Hollins scored 10 of her 19 points in overtime to lead 12th-seeded Missouri to a 70-64 victory over the Sooners in the first round on Tuesday.

The 10th-ranked Sooners (21-8) were bounced despite outstanding efforts by Courtney and Ashley Paris.

Courtney Paris scored 30 points and grabbed 20 rebounds, while Ashley Paris added 12 and 23 for Oklahoma, which was aiming for its third straight conference title.

Jessra Johnson helped upset the Sooners by collecting 16 points and 14 rebounds for the Tigers (10-20), who advance to play fourth-seeded Texas A&M on Wednesday.
