McCoughtry, Louisville cruise past Seton Hall
Jan 6, 2007 - 10:35 PM LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Angel McCoughtry scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead No. 13 Louisville to an 88-67 Big East Conference triumph over Seton Hall.McCoughtry shot 6-of-14 from the floor and 9-of-11 from the line to pace four Cardinals in double figures.
Reserve Chauntise Wright scored 14 points, Yuliya Tokova chipped in 11 and Jazz Covington added 10 for Louisville (16-1, 2-1 Big East), which struggled to a 35-28 halftime lead before pulling away in the final 20 minutes.
The Cardinals won despite getting outrebounded, 45-39, and shooting just 42 percent (29-of-69). But they went 24-of-35 from the line and forced 26 turnovers.
Noteisha Womack scored 19 points off the bench for Seton Hall (9-5, 1-2).
