Reado leads Texas A&M women to win

Feb 4, 2007 - 4:29 AM COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) -- Patricia Reado scored 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked three shots to lead No. 20 Texas A&M to a 64-53 victory over Kansas and into a tie for first place in the Big 12 Conference.

Danielle Gant added 15 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for Texas A&M (17-4, 7-2 Big 12), which won its third straight game, catching Oklahoma and Nebraska at the top of the Big 12 Standings.

A'Quonesia Franklin scored 10 points for the Aggies, who shot 49 percent (24-of-49) from the field.

Danielle McCray scored 10 of her 11 points in the first half to help Kansas (6-16, 0-9) stay within 32-28 at intermission. But Texas A&M widened its lead to 14 points with 4:49 remaining.

Taylor McIntosh scored 12 points and Shanquina Mosley had 10 and 10 assists for Kansas, which lost its fifth straight game. for the Jayhawks, who shot 37 percent (22-of-59).
