Davenport leads Ohio State over Iowa
Feb 4, 2007 - 10:36 PM COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Jessica Davenport set a personal milestone and kept Ohio State on a roll.Davenport scored 22 points and reached 1,000 rebounds for her career in leading the sixth-ranked Buckeyes to an 85-49 Big Ten Conference romp over Iowa.
Ohio State (21-0, 10-0 Big Ten) extended its winning streak to 14 games overall and 26 in a row at home.
Davenport is the second player in Big Ten history to collect 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, joining Minnesota's Laura Coenen (1981-85).
Brandie Hoskins added 16 points on 10-of-16 shooting for the Buckeyes, who outscored the Hawkeyes, 40-17, in the second half.
Wendy Ausdemore scored 12 points for Iowa (11-12, 3-7), which shot 34 percent (17-of-50) and committed 23 turnovers.
