No. 15 Florida State trounces Wake Forest, 83-38
Feb 7, 2010 - 9:03 PM TALLAHASSEE, Fla.(AP) -- Chasity Clayton had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead No. 15 Florida State to an 83-38 rout of Wake Forest on Sunday.The Seminoles (20-4, 6-2 ACC) held the Demon Deacons (14-9, 5-4 ACC) to 21.8 percent shooting, the 13th time this season they held an opponent to under 35 percent from the floor.
Florida State opened the game on a 10-2 run, holding the Demon Deacons to just one basket in their first 10 attempts. Wake Forest made just five baskets in the first half and trailed 36-15 at the break.
The Seminoles led by as many as 45, hitting four of their first five 3-pointers and six of 10 overall. Jacinta Monroe added 15 points for FSU, while Brittany Waters led Wake Forest with 15 points.
