Givens, Middle Tennessee tie school wins record

Feb 25, 2007 - 12:41 AM MURFREESBORO, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Chrissy Givens scored 31 points and Krystle Horton had 27 and 10 rebounds as Middle Tennessee tied its program's single-season wins record with a 76-63 Sun Belt Conference victory over Florida Atlantic.

Starr Orr had seven points and nine rebounds for the Blue Raiders (26-3, 18-0 Sun Belt), who shot just 34 percent (27-of-79) from the field and 3-of-26 from the arc but forced 31 turnovers to secure the victory.

Givens shot 10-of-25 from the floor, including 2-of-5 on 3-pointers, and 9-of-9 from the free-throw line.

Horton was 11-of-14 and converted 5-of-6 free throws for Middle Tennessee, which remained undefeated in conference play and won its 23rd straight game en route to matching a school-record with its 26th win.

Mistoria Brown scored 14 points for the Owls (6-24, 2-16), who shot 46 percent (23-of-50).
