Lucas-Perry lifts Michigan State past Minnesota

Feb 25, 2007 - 8:47 PM EAST LANSING, Michigan (Ticker) -- Michigan State rebounded to finish the regular season on a winning note.

Victoria Lucas-Perry scored 13 points to lead the 20th-ranked Spartans to a 57-50 Big Ten Conference victory over Minnesota.

Michigan State (22-7, 13-3 Big Ten) bounced back from Thursday's loss at Illinois that cost it a chance for the conference title.

It wasn't exactly a vintage performance by the Spartans, who were destroyed on the glass, 50-33, and had only Lucas-Perry score in double figures.

Freshman Allyssa DeHaan was a bright spot with eight points, six rebounds and eight blocked shots for Michigan State, which trailed, 25-24, at halftime.

Emily Fox scored 15 points and Korinne Campbell added eight and 17 boards for Minnesota (15-14, 7-9), which shot just 30 percent (18-of-60) and finished 1-of-11 from 3-point range.
