Jan 14, 2011 - 3:26 AM Gainesville, FL (Sports Network) - Angie Bjorklund posted 16 points and Meighan Simmons added 14 points to help No. 5 Tennessee to an 83-40 rout of Florida.Shekinna Stricklen recorded a double-double with 12 rebounds and 11 points for the Lady Vols (16-2, 4-0 SEC), who have won seven straight. Glory Johnson notched 12 points and nine rebounds in the victory.
Brittany Shine led the Gators (12-6, 2-2) with seven points.
The game was over quickly, as Tennessee held Florida to six first-half field goals and carried a 47-15 lead into the break. The Lady Vols cruised in the second half and shot 47.8 percent overall, compared to a 21.4-percent shooting performance by the Gators, who have dropped two of three.
