Green Bay squeaks past Arkansas-Little Rock

Mar 21, 2011 - 1:45 AM Wichita, KS (Sports Network) - Kayla Tetschlag netted 24 points and ripped down 11 rebounds as the fifth-seeded Green Bay Phoenix squeaked past the 12th- seeded Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans by a 59-55 final in a first-round NCAA Tournament clash.

Julie Wojta contributed 14 points for Green Bay (33-1), which advances to the second round to face fourth-seeded Michigan State.

Chastity Reed poured in 24 points in the painful defeat for Arkansas-Little Rock (23-8).

The Phoenix closed the first half with a 7-2 run and led 28-23 at intermission

Over the final 20 minutes, the Phoenix were never able to build a double-digit lead, as Reed, the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year, kept her team within striking distance.

Green Bay has now won 21 consecutive games, and tonight's affair marked the smallest margin of victory for the Phoenix in nearly two full months.
