No. 4 Duke crushes Cal State-Bakersfield
Dec 22, 2012 - 5:39 AM Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Elizabeth Williams netted a game-high 21 points and pulled down eight rebounds as No. 4 Duke trampled Cal State- Bakersfield, 97-63, on Friday in the Women of Troy Basketball Classic.Haley Peters netted 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting and Tricia Liston added 14 points on 5-of-9 from the field for the Blue Devils (9-0). Chelsea Gray donated 11 points and nine rebounds, while Chloe Wells and Sierra Moore gave 10 points apiece in the triumph.
Tyonna Outland scored a team-high 16 points and Amber Williams chipped in with 12 points on 4-of-6 from three-point range for Bakersfield (2-11), who have lost four in a row.
Duke shot an efficient 58.3 percent in the opening 20 minutes and carried a comfortable 48-27 lead into the second half before rolling to the easy victory.
