Dayton's Austria has successful knee surgery
Feb 17, 2014 - 11:29 PM Dayton, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Dayton sophomore guard Kelley Austria will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament and damage to a meniscus in her right knee."This is the first knee surgery Kelley has ever had, and it was completely successful," said Kristin Tritt, UD women's basketball trainer. "She is such a strong kid and will work diligently in rehab, I'm positive she will make a complete recovery from her surgery and be ready for next season."
Austria put together averages of 11.4 points, 3.6 assists and 2.4 steals per contest over 16 games before the aforementioned knee injuries cut her season short on Jan. 22 against Massachusetts.
