Duke dispatches Georgia Tech to reach ACC semis
Mar 8, 2014 - 4:39 AM Greensboro, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Haley Peters totaled 19 points and 10 rebounds, as second-seeded Duke had an easy time with seventh-seeded Georgia Tech, 82-52, on Friday.Elizabeth Williams and Tricia Liston each scored 15 for the Blue Devils (25-5), who will take on North Carolina in a Saturday semifinal. Williams added five assists and five blocks for the victors, who held their opponents to 24 percent shooting.
Tyaunna Marshall led the way with 17 points for the Yellow Jackets (20-10), who received 16 points from Kaela Davis in a losing cause, their 37th straight defeat to Duke.
Georgia Tech remained winless against Duke in tournament games, lost in the league quarterfinals for the 23rd time in 29 years and have not beaten the Blue Devils since 1995.
