(AP) Makayla Epps had 21 points, six rebounds and eight assists while Janee Thompson scored 16 with a career-high tying 10 assists to help No. 12 Kentucky women beat Eastern Michigan 89-67 Wednesday.Maci Morris hit five 3-pointers and scored 17 - both career highs - and Evelyn Akhator added 12 points for Kentucky (5-0).
Eastern Michigan (2-1) forced 13 Kentucky turnovers in the first half to overcome poor shooting (14-of-37) before halftime and trailed 37-35 at intermission.
A jumper by Phillis Webb put the Eagles up 43-42 early in the third quarter, but Kentucky outscored them 24-4 to close the quarter and take a 19-point lead into the fourth.
Eastern Michigan had two scoreless stretches of three-plus minutes in the third.
The Wildcats shot 60 percent from the field for the first time since Feb. 18, 2007
Janay Morton led the Eagles with 21 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
