Florida State rolls past North Florida
Nov 12, 2007 - 2:15 AM TALLAHASSEE, Florida (Ticker) -- Shante Williams scored 19 points off the bench Sunday as 19th-ranked Florida State coasted to a 75-48 victory over North Florida.Despite getting just 21 minutes of playing time, Williams made 7-of-8 shots, including a 3-pointer, and 4-of-6 free throws.
Jacinta Monroe scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Courtney Ward chipped in 13 points for the Lady Seminoles (2-0), who raced to a 41-25 halftime lead and never looked back.
Florida State shot 53 percent (28-of-53) from the floor and owned a 40-33 edge on the glass.
Reserve Tiffany Williams scored 14 points for North Florida (0-1), which committed 25 turnovers and shot just 30 percent (15-of-50).
