(AP) Leticia Romero made 8 of 13 shots, including her only 3-point attempt, for 18 points and the No. 13 Florida State women beat Rutgers 65-43 in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge on Thursday night.Shakayla Thomas added 15 points and Ivey Slaughter scored 10 for the Seminoles (6-1), who shot out to a 19-4 advantage at the end of the first quarter and led by no less than 11 the rest of the way.
Florida State tightened its grip by scoring the last seven points of the first half and the first three after the break to lead 37-16 early in the third quarter.
The Seminoles had their largest lead at 61-35 on Slaughter's 3-point play with 4:12 left in the game.
Tyler Scaife scored 10 points for Rutgers (5-3). The Scarlet Knights outrebounded Florida State 38-28 but committed 23 turnovers to the Seminoles' 10.
