Black scores 16 as Duke rolls
Nov 16, 2007 - 3:17 AM TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- Chante Black scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead ninth-ranked Duke to an 89-52 victory over South Florida on Thursday.Black converted just 4-of-9 shots from the floor but converted 8-of-9 from the free-throw line and collected seven offensive rebounds.
Reserve Joy Cheek added 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting and added five rebounds for the Blue Devils (2-0), who led, 38-15, at the half.
Shantia Grace had 12 points and four assists for South Florida (1-1), which shot just 28 percent (18-of-65) from the floor and committed 22 turnovers.
