Williams, Mitideiro lead DePaul to upset over Florida State
Nov 17, 2007 - 4:16 AM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Natasha Williams scored 23 points and Missy Mitideiro scored 22 as DePaul upset No. 19 Florida State, 79-68, on Friday.Allie Quigley had 12 points, five rebounds and six assists for the Blue Demons, who have won five of their last eight home games against ranked opponents.
DePaul (3-0), which led, 38-37, at halftime, received excellent shooting performances from Williams and Mitideiro. Williams, a 6-3 transfer from the University of Minnesota, was a perfect 10-of-10 from the field while Mitideiro, a 5-4 senior, shot 6-of-11 from 3-point range.
Mara Freshour scored 14 points and Courtney Ward scored 12 for the Seminoles, who shot 43 percent (24-of-56) but missed 20 of their 30 shots in the second half.
