Duke forces 38 turnovers in rout of UNC-Greensboro

Nov 18, 2007 - 10:00 PM DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Freshman Krystal Thomas had 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead No. 9 Duke over North Carolina-Greensboro, 84-39, on Sunday.

Chante Black added 17 points for the Blue Devils (3-0), who outrebounded the Spartans, 44-30, and forced an amazing 38 turnovers that led to 44 points for Duke, which won in Joanne P. McCallie's coaching debut at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

McCallie, who took over for Gail Goestenkors after she left for the University of Texas, helped the Blue Devils win their 18th straight game at home.

Duke held the Spartans to 19 percent shooting (3-of-16) in the first half and forced 19 turnovers in both halves.

Monique Floyd had seven points to lead UNC-Greensboro (0-3).
