Adair leads George Washington past South Dakota State
Nov 24, 2007 - 1:20 AM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Jessica Adair collected 18 points and 11 rebounds and Kimberly Beck added 16 points as 15th-ranked George Washington posted a 65-60 victory over South Dakota State on Friday.Sarah-Jo Lawrence had 13 points and six rebounds for the Colonials (4-1), who shot 47 percent (25-of-53) from the field and scored 30 points in the paint.
Adair shot 9-of-14 from the field in 27 minutes while Beck was 4-of-10 from the floor - including 3-of-6 from the arc - and nailed all five of her free throws for George Washington, which overcame 25 turnovers.
Kristin Rotert scored 15 points for South Dakota State (4-1), which shot 38 percent (23-of-60) from the field.
