Tsipis resigns as George Washington women's hoops coach
Mar 29, 2016 - 12:34 AM WASHINGTON (AP) Jonathan Tsipis has resigned as coach of the George Washington women's basketball team.The school says the search for a replacement will begin immediately.
Tsipis led George Washington to consecutive Atlantic 10 championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. The Colonials went 92-38 during his four seasons as coach.
Athletic director Patrick Nero said Tsipis brought the program back into the national picture and restored its ''outstanding tradition.''
