Sherwood scores 24 as Vanderbilt routs Belmont
Nov 24, 2007 - 1:22 AM NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Liz Sherwood scored 24 points to lead 19th-ranked Vanderbilt to a 104-43 rout of Belmont on Friday.Sherwood also had five rebounds, three assists and three steals in only 20 minutes of action.
Christina Wirth had 19 points and four rebounds for the Commodores (4-1), who shot 55.6 percent (20-of-38) to take a commanding 56-27 lead at halftime.
Lauren Lueders had 12 points and five assists while Jennifer Risper added 10 points and two steals for Vanderbilt.
Shaunda Strayhorn had 10 points for the Bruins (2-4), who hadn't played the Commodores in 16 years.
