Raven helps Texas bounce back against Kentucky
Nov 25, 2007 - 1:53 AM HONOLULU (Ticker) -- Brittainey Raven scored 17 points and Ashley Lindsey added 16 as No. 22 Texas captured a 72-60 victory over Kentucky in the Rainbow Wahine Classic on Saturday.Coming off a 86-83 loss to Virginia in the opening round of the event on Friday, Raven helped the Longhorns (3-2) rebound by shooting 8-of-17 from the field.
Earnesia Williams chipped in 12 points for Texas, which held off a second-half charge by Kentucky by shooting 59 percent (19-of-32) in the second half.
Samantha Mahoney scored 12 points and Sarah Elliott added 11 and nine rebounds for the Wildcats (2-3), who lost for the third time in four games.
