Freshour's 21 points leads No. 22 Florida State past Indiana
Dec 1, 2007 - 4:01 AM BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Ticker) -- Mara Freshour scored a game-high 21 points as No. 22 Florida State defeated Indiana, 85-78, on Friday in the inaugural Big Ten-ACC Challenge.Shante Williams had 14 points and five assists for the Seminoles (6-1), who overcame a 41-37 halftime deficit. Tanae Davis-Cain scored 13 points, while Jacinta Monroe and Antionette Howard each scored 12 for Florida State.
Jamie Braun and Haylie Linn each scored 16 points for the Hoosiers (4-3). Braun also had a game-high 11 rebounds. Jori Davis added 10 points for Indiana.
A 14-7 run midway through the second half gave the Seminoles a 68-60 lead with 7:28 to play. Indiana responded with a 17-12 spurt, including a 3-pointer by Davis with 30 seconds to go, to cut the Florida State lead to 80-78.
Free throws down the stretch were the difference as the Seminoles held on for the victory.
