O'Rourke, Wolf help Penn State upset Duke
Dec 3, 2007 - 2:07 AM STATE COLLEGE, Pennsylvania (Ticker) -- Brianne O'Rourke scored 23 points and assisted on the game-winning layup as Penn State upset No. 10 Duke, 86-84, on Sunday.With the game tied at 84-84 and eight seconds left, O'Rourke took the inbound pass and dribbled the length of the court before finding Jenessa Wolf for the game-winning layup with three-tenths of a second left.
On top of that, O'Rourke made all 15 of her free throws and recorded eight assists for Penn State (6-2), which shot 54 percent (27-of-50) from the floor.
Karina Christmas, who missed a free throw with eight seconds left, was off the mark on a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Abby Waner scored 23 points for the Blue Devils (5-3), who have lost three straight games.
