Colorado holds off late run to upset Vanderbilt
Dec 10, 2007 - 2:54 AM NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Bianca Smith scored 22 points as Colorado toppled No. 17 Vanderbilt, 62-51, on Sunday.Jackie McFarland added 16 points for the Buffaloes (6-2), who built up a 52-32 lead with just over seven minutes remaining before holding off a late rally by the Commodores.
Colorado finished 20-of-23 at the free-throw line to help seal its first win over a ranked opponent in nearly three years.
Liz Sherwood had 22 points and 10 rebounds for Vanderbilt (8-3), which went on a 17-0 run late to close within three points but no closer.
