Black, Cheek lead Duke to easy win over Bucknell
Dec 22, 2007 - 3:30 AM DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Chante Black and Joy Cheek scored 19 points as No. 15 Duke routed Bucknell, 92-49, on Friday.Black shot 9-of-15 from the field, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out five assists. Cheek also had eight boards as the Blue Devils finished with a 57-32 advantage in rebounding.
Abby Waner scored 16 points and Jasmine Thomas added 12 for Duke (9-3), which shot 45 percent (22-of-49) and knocked down four 3-pointers en route to a 53-31 lead at the break.
The Blue Devils also starred on defense, turning 32 turnovers by the Bison into 40 points.
Kesha Champion had 21 points for Bucknell (4-7), which shot 38.5 percent (20-of-52).
