Balanced attack leads California's rout of Washington State
Dec 31, 2007 - 12:35 AM BERKELEY, California (Ticker) -- Alexis Gray-Lawson led five players in double figures with 19 points as No. 11 California routed Washington State, 99-44, on Sunday.Lauren Grief added 17 points and Ashley Walker chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Bears, who shot 10-of-16 on 3-pointers.
California (11-2, 2-0 Pac-10) forced 22 turnovers and held Washington State to just 30 percent shooting (17-of-57) as it opened up a 53-25 halftime lead.
Alexa Price scored 14 points to lead the Cougars (3-10, 0-2), who have lost four straight.
