Canady's 28 points help Old Dominion crush Northeastern
Jan 25, 2008 - 5:07 AM BOSTON (Ticker) -- Reserve Jessica Canady scored a career-high 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds as No. 18 Old Dominion crushed Northeastern, 85-51, in a Colonial Athletic Association game on Thursday.Shahida Williams scored 13 points and Jen Nuzzo had 10 off the bench for the Lady Monarchs (15-3, 6-0 CAA), who have won nine straight games and 12 of their last 13.
Canady, who connected on 10-of-14 from the floor, helped Old Dominion to a 46-31 lead at intermission - its largest halftime point total of the season. Old Dominion shot 49 percent (34-of-70).
No starter scored in double figures for the Huskies (5-11, 0-6), who have dropped five straight games.
Lucia Pablos had 10 points off the bench for Northeastern, which shot 30 percent (19-of-64).
