Prince guides Rutgers past Villanova
Jan 26, 2008 - 9:46 PM PISCATAWAY, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Epiphanny Prince scored 19 points for No. 5 Rutgers en route to a 63-54 victory over Villanova in Big East Conference action on Saturday.Kia Vaughn added 16 points and eight rebounds for the Scarlet Knights (17-2, 7-0 Big East), who won their 12th straight game.
Rutgers used 12 offensive rebounds to top Villanova on the glass, 34-20, and held a 12-2 advantage in second-chance points. The Scarlet Knights also shot 51 percent (28-for-55) from the field, including 46 percent (5-for-11) from the arc.
Laura Kurz scored 15 points to pace the Wildcats (12-8, 2-5).
