Mitchell's huge second half leads Utah past UNLV
Feb 7, 2008 - 6:37 AM LAS VEGAS (Ticker) -- Leilani Mitchell scored 20 of her 26 points in the second half to lead No. 23 Utah to an 82-53 rout of Nevada-Las Vegas on Wednesday in a Mountain West Conference matchup.Mitchell scored 20 of the Utes' first 29 points of the second half, and also grabbed 10 rebounds.
Morgan Warburton chipped in 19 points for Utah (19-3, 8-0 MWC), which has won seven straight games.
The Utes, who shot 52 percent (27-of-52) from the floor, closed the game on a 15-3 run.
Sequoia Holmes led the Lady Rebels (6-15, 2-6), who shot just 32 percent (18-of-55) and have lost six straight contests.
