Paris twins power Oklahoma past Colorado
Feb 10, 2008 - 5:34 AM NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Courtney Paris had a season-high 30 points and 14 rebounds and twin sister Ashley added 18 and six as No. 10 Oklahoma posted an 82-66 victory over Big 12 foe Colorado on Saturday.The Sooners (17-4, 7-2 Big 12) jumped out to a 10-2 lead before holding on to a 37-31 advantage at the break.
The Paris sisters scored the first 12 points for Oklahoma to start the second half and, after Nyeshia Stevenson later made a 3-pointer, the Sooners had opened up a 58-43 lead with 10:50 to play. Colorado could get no closer than 13 the rest of the way.
Jackie McFarland and Brittany Spears each scored 19 points to lead the Buffaloes (13-10, 2-8), who committed 20 turnovers and have now lost five straight contests.
