Parker powers Old Dominion in rout
Feb 22, 2008 - 4:36 AM RICHMOND, Virginia (Ticker) -- Jasmine Parker led five players in double figures as No. 12 Old Dominion rolled to an 87-67 victory over Virginia Commonwealth in a Colonial Athletic Association game on Thursday.With the victory, the Lady Monarchs (23-3, 14-0) stayed on track for their first unbeaten season in the conference in seven years.
Old Dominion, seeking its 17th consecutive league title, scored 40 points in the paint. The Rams (19-6, 9-5) were playing their second game since 6-foot-5 sophomore center Quanitra Hollingsworth was lost for the season with an injury.
Tiffany Green and T.J. Jordan scored 14 points each, Jazzmin Walters had 13 and Shahida Williams 12 for the Lady Monarchs.
Radoslava Bachvarova led VCU with 17 points. D'Andra Moss scored 15 points while Krystal Vaughn had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Rams.
