Green lifts Old Dominion to 19th straight win
Feb 29, 2008 - 3:16 AM NORFOLK, Virginia (Ticker) -- Tiffany Green had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Jessica Canady added 17 and seven off the bench as No. 11 Old Dominion defeated George Mason, 82-44, in a Colonial Athletic Association contest on Thursday.Shahida Williams scored 13 points and Jasmine Parker chipped in 11 for the Lady Monarchs, who pushed their winning streak to 19 games by jumping out to a 38-23 lead at halftime.
Old Dominion (25-3, 16-0 CAA) continued to dominate after the break as it shot a blistering 55 percent (16-of-29) to hold a 44-21 edge.
T.J. Jordan hit two 3-pointers to become the conference's all-time leader with 311 in her career.
Lateisha Wade was the lone bright spot with 17 points for the Patriots (9-18, 3-13), who were held in check with 30 percent (18-of-60) shooting.
